THE THINKING MAN'S THESAURUS
v1.2
Copyright (c) Kevin Solway 1997
A freeware thesaurus and word-prompter.
Windows 3.1 or Windows 95.
Usage:
Run SETUP.EXE to install the program to your hard disk. This
will automatically install THES.EXE and other files.
Enter a keyword to find synonyms as well as similarly spelt
words. Double-clicking the mouse on a related word or a
similarly spelt word will make that word the keyword.
If you copy a word to the clipboard before running this
program then it will automatically use that word as a keyword.
The "copy related word" button copies the currently selected
related word to the windows clipboard, from where you can paste
it into your document.
There are two version of the program included in this package,
the standard version (THES.EXE) and version for use with the
freeware program "wordweb" (THESWW.EXE). Wordweb is useful
dictionary freely available for download on the web.
In the version for use with Wordweb there are three small "w"
buttons. The first "w" button will send the keyword to
WordWeb, the second one will send the related word, and the
third one will send the similarly spelt word. This is useful
if you want to find the dictionary meaning of a word. If
you have WordWeb, then make sure to copy the file "Wordweb.dll"
to the windows/system directory. This DLL is the 16-bit
version, not the 32 bit version. Selecting "copy" within
Wordweb will quite Wordweb and make the selected word a
keyword in the thesaurus.
